Ingredients
Fish, 0.5 kg, of mackerel persuasionSweet potato, chopped, 1 cup1 turmeric leaf15 stalks edible ferns5 stalks polygnum leaves (laksa leaves)10 pieces kaduk leaves (chinese moon creeper)1 cup uncooked rice, the starchier the betterFermented fish sauce (worcestershire sauce can do in a pinch)
Directions
Bake the fish at 20 mins at 170 C, wrapped in banana leaves. Add rice, sweet potato and flaked, debined fish in with 4 cups of water. After 30 mins simmering on a slow fire, add the rest of the ingredients. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
