Veggie Burgers

Ingredients
2 cans (19 oz.) pinto beans¾ cups breadcrumbs or crushed Ritz crackers2 eggs, beaten¼ cup onion, diced finely2 tablespoons ketchup1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce¼ teaspoon garlic powder¼ teaspoon pepper1/8 teaspoon liquid smoke4 tablespoons canola oil
Directions
Wash, rinse and mash beans. Stir in breadcrumbs, eggs, onion, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, liquid smoke, and pepper. Knead until all ingredients are well-mixed. Shape into 6 patties, approximately ¾ inch thick.

Heat 2 tablespoons oil in skillet over medium heat. Add 3 patties and cook about 5 minutes on each side. Repeat process with remaining oil and patties.

Serve on buns with your favorite toppings. Serves 6
