Curry vegetable turkey soup

3 cups frozen vegetables (nutrition calculated with frozen gumbo mix)1 carrot, chopped1/4 cup lentils1 1/2 cup water18 oz spicy vegetable or tomato juice1 package of ground turkey1 Tbs turmeric powder1 tsp cumin powder1 tsp garlic salt1/4 cup half and half
Makes 4 2-cup servings.
Cook ground turkey until browned.
Add tomato juice and water and bring to a low boil.
Add lentils, frozen vegetables, chopped carrot and spices.
Let cook until vegetables are soft and add half and half.
For a vegetarian option, replace turkey with 1/2 cup of lentils or orzo. Half and half may be omitted.
