Basic Polenta - Giada De Laurentiis

Ingredients
1 3/4 c. Cornmeal6 c. Water3 TBSP. Light Butter
Directions
Bring water to a boil in a heavy large saucepan. Gradually whisk in the cornmeal. Reduce heat to low and cook until the mixture thickens and the cornmeal is tender, stirring often, about 15 minutes. Turn off heat. Add the butter, and stir until melted. Serve hot with sauce/topping of choice. You may also spread it into a pan and refrigerate it. Cut pieces of polenta and grill or fry, serving as a side dish or with sauce of choice.
