Homemade Mashed Potatoes

4 baking potatoesMilkSaltMargarine/butter
Place the potatoes in a pot to boil. (I usually rinse them off first just to get any dust /dirt off).
Boil the potatoes until they can be easily punctured with a fork.
Drain the water off the potatoes and run a bit of cold water over the potatoes so that you can peel them or if you choose peel them first then boil them.
Once the potatoes are peeled use a potato masher to mash the potatoes until they are the consistency you prefer.
Add the milk, salt and butter and stir until mixed well.
Makes 4 1 cup servings
