Blueberry and Strawberry Compote (no sugar added)

Ingredients
1 pint blueberries (about 3/4 lb)1/2 lb strawberries1/4 c Splenda1 t lemon juice1/4 c waterOptional: zest of lemon
Directions
Place all ingredients into heavy-bottom saucepan and heat until boiling, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring every few minutes. Sauce will thicken a little more upon cooling.

Makes about 4 1/3c servings (plenty for 2 5-in pancakes)
