Lentil & Ham Soup

Ingredients
2 1/4 cups lentils3 cups chicken broth3 cups water2 garlic cloves, crushed1 tbsp oregano1 tbsp basil1/2 cup onion, chopped1 cup carrots, chopped1 1/2 cups ham, chopped
Directions
Boil dried lentils with 3 cups chicken broth, 1 cup water, onion, garlic, basil and oregano. Put a lid on the lentils and let simmer for 30 minutes. Add carrots, 2 cups water and ham. Reduce heat slightly and place lid back on soup. Cook at least 30 minutes more, until reduced down so it's not very watery.
