Pear Crunch Pie

Ingredients
29 ounces canned pear halves, undrained1/4 cup sugar3 tablespoons cornstarch1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg1/4 teaspoon salt1 tablespoon lemon juice1 tablespoon margarine1 graham cracker crust3/4 cup chopped pecans
Directions
Drain pears, reserving syrup. Place pear syrup in a four cup glass measuring cup. Add enough water to pear syrup to make 1 1/2 cups. Combine sugar, cornstarch, nutmeg and salt. Stir into pear syrup. Microwave 3 1/2 minutes to 4 1/2 minutes, or until mixture thickens, stirring every minute during cooking. Stir in lemon juice and butter. Slice pears and arrange in pie shell. Pour mixture over top. Sprinkle with nuts. Let stand until cool.
