Spiced and Glazed Apple Cake

Butter and flour for 2 bread pansFlour, white, 3 cupBaking Soda, 1 tspBaking Powder, 0.75 tspSalt, 0.75 tspCinnamon, ground, 2 tbspNutmeg, ground, 0.5 tspWalnuts, 1.25 cup, chopped and toastedButter, unsalted, 1 cup melted and cooledCanola Oil, 3 tbspGranulated Sugar, 2 cupEgg white, 4 servingVanilla Extract, 0.75 tsp Apples, fresh, 3 cup, shreddedGlazePowdered Sugar, 1.5 cup, unsiftedCinnamon, ground, 0.5 tspSalt, 1 dashButter, unsalted, 1.5 tbsp softSpiced Apple Cider, 2.5 oz(I also like to add a little shredded apple to the glaze.)
Preheat oven to 350
1. Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Set aside.
2. Toast walnuts with 2 tsp of flour mixture. (I use a frying pan.)
3. Blend butter and canola oil for 1 minute on medium speed. Add sugar and blend for 1 minute, blend in eggs one at a time with 45 seconds in between each egg. Blend on high for 2 minutes.
4. Blend in vanilla on low speed and add flour mixture, blend in apples.
5. Move to bowl and stir in walnuts. Move to 2 bread pans (buttered and floured). Bake for 60 - 65 minutes, cool for 15+ minutes. Drizzle glaze on.
6. Glaze: Add all ingredients in saucepan and heat. When butter is melted move to bowl. You may need to add more powdered sugar if you want a thicker glaze. Drizzle with fork or whisk.
