Apple Dumplings

1 Package Pillsbury Original Crescent Rolls2 Small Apples or 1 Very Large Apple4 Tbl White Sugar2 Tbl Brown Sugar4 Tbl Butter (1/2 stick)1/4 tsp Cinnamon1/2 Pinch Nutmeg3 oz. or 1/3 Cup Mountain Dew
Preheat oven to 350. Peel and slice apple(s) into 8 pieces. If using two smaller apples, quarter them. If one very large apple, cut into 8 slices. Roll the each apple slice in a crescent pastry slice, starting at the small end and tucking edges around apple slice tightly. Place in 9x9 baking ban. In pan on stovetop, melt butter and stir in sugars, cinnamon and nutmeg. Pour sauce over crescent wrapped apples. Pour 1/3 Cup Mountain Dew over apple wrapped crescents. Bake for 40-45 minutes. Makes a GREAT breakfast treat too!
