3 Cups Chopped Fresh Green Beans1-1/2 Large Onions, Finely Chopped3 Tblsp Butter1-1/2 Tsp Salt1 Tblsp Soy Sauce1/4 Tsp Hot Pepper Sauce3 Tblsp Worchestershire Sauce2 Cans Reduced Sodium Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup2 Cans Sliced Water Chestnuts, Drained1 Pound Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese2 Cans French's French Fried Onions, Cheddar Flavored
This recipe makes 10 servings.
Steam beans until tender but still firm. Rinse to stop cooking under cold water.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and saute onions. Add salt, soy sauce, hot pepper sauce, Worcestershire sauce and mushroom soup. Mix well.
Layer half the beans, water chestnuts, chese and soup mixture into a casserole dish. Repeat layering.
Bake at 350 degrees F for about 40 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Top with onions and heat 10 minutes longer.
