Kohlrabi & Ham Gratin

Ingredients
3 lbs (5-6 whole) kohlrabi; trimmed, peeled and sliced thinly1.5 cups milk3 tablespoons All-purpose flour1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded2 oz. smoked ham, sliced thinly1 cup fresh bread crumbsDash nutmegSalt & Pepper to taste
Directions
Boil kohlrabi in large pot of water. Drain.

Heat milk, add flour and stir to make bechamel sauce. Remove from heat and add cheese, ham, and seasonings. Stir to mix thoroughly.

Place kohlrabi and sauce in baking dish, cover with bread crumbs, and bake 30-40 minutes on 400 degrees F.
