Ingredients
1 -2 (or more) large apples (I use Fuji, but any will work)Spices: - add as much, or as little as desiredGround Cinnamon - aprox. 4 tbsp Ground Nutmeg - aprox. 2 tbsp Ground Cloves - aprox. 1 tbsp1/2 cup for 1st apple 1/4 cup for each additional apple
Directions
Makes 2 - 3 cups

Prep:
Peel & core apple(s) - chop into very small pieces

Cook:
If using 1 apple = 1/2 cup water
2 apples = 3/4 cup water
add 1/4 cup water per apple added (if more than 2)

Boil water with cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves & stevia - add apples and cook (covered) for 15 min.

Remove lid & simmer for 10 additional minutes until water is almost (but not totally) reduced.

Remove from burner - "mash" apples to desired consistency.

Eat warm or put in fridge to cool.
Makes a great lunch snack.

I think the measurements should be tsp not tbsp; it tasted toxic. Will try again and lessen the spice. - 3/23/13

I think this recipe makes several servings. Probably 1/2 cup applesauce per serving. Looks like a great recipe! I'll try it soon. - 1/31/13

The amount of sugar is not listed on nutrition info. Fuji apples contain the most sugar. - 1/27/13

Are there really 416 calories in one serving? That's almost a days worth of food on Phase 2 - 1/17/11
