Chicken Broccoli Mushroom Penne Alfredo

Ingredients
2 C Penne Pasta (preferrably ww, which would lower calories)2 chicken breasts, cut into strips1 Tbsp olive oil1 pkg frozen broccoli1 pkg fresh mushrooms, chopped1 onion, dicedsauce: 1 container 1% cottage cheese1/2 C Kraft parmesan romano shredded cheese5 fresh basil leaves, chopped3 cloves garlic, minced
Directions
Cook penne pasta in boiling water. In the meantime:

Cook chicken in olive oil in frying pan until cooked through and no longer pink. Add in onion, mushrooms and broccoli and cover to let simmer.

Simultaneously ( if possible), combine all sauce ingredients in a double boiler and warm, and after warmed, blend with a hand mixer. DO NOT HEAT QUICKLY or the cottage cheese will separate.
