Penne Pasta with Italian Turkey Sausage

I lb ground Italian Turkey1 large onion, chopped small2 cans Diced Tomatoes - Italian blend w/Basil & Oregano2 cans water (plus more as needed)Fresh Basil, thinly sliced (aprox 2 TBL-optional)1 lb Penne Pasta - uncooked1 16oz pkg frozen French Cut Green BeansPepper to taste.
In large non-stick saute pan over medium heat, begin to cook turkey. Add onions and cook until mixture is golden brown - breaking chunks of turkey into small pieces. Drain any fat from pan and add 2 c and add 2 cans of tomatoes, 2 cans of water, all the dry pasta and 1 Tablespoon of the sliced basil. Stir until pasta is coated with sauce. Cover and gently simmer on medium high heat for 10 minutes- stirring often. Fold mixture over to make sure pasta is absorbing the moisture evenly. Check pasta for doneness. If pasta begins to stick, add more water and test for doneness. When Pasta is almost cooked (al dente), add frozen Green beans and mix well. Cover and cook until green beans are tender and the sauce has been absorbed into the pasta. Sprinkle fresh basil over and serve warm. May also be frozen and reheated. Bon Apetite! Makes 9 servings.
