Oatmeal Graham Cracker Crust

11 whole graham crackers (yield approx. 1 1/3 cups crumbs)5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted1/2 cup old fashioned oats3 tablespoons firmly packed dark brown sugar1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract1/8 teaspoon salt
1 Preheat oven to 350°.
2 Process crackers in food processor until finely ground.
You can also place crackers in plastic bag and grind down using rolling pin.
3Combine crumbs, butter, oats, brown sugar, vanilla and salt, stirring until crumbs are moistened.
4 Press mixture evenly across 9-inch pie plate.
5 Bake crust until crisp, about 7 minutes.
6 Let cool completely before filling.
Note: Crust may also be wrapped tightly in plastic and frozen up to one month.
