Kheir

Ingredients
CardamomCinnamon stickBlack peppercorns (a few)1/4 cup raisins1/4 cup cashews2 cups boiling water1 cup basmati rice2 1/8 cup soy milk
Directions
Add spices, raisins, cashews to 2 cups boiling water, then add the rice. Cook on medium-low heat for 20 min. Then add 2 cups soy milk and a sweetener such as rice syrup if desired. Some like their Kheir without sweetener. As the mixture cooks, the rice will fall apart. Make sure the mixture is creamy without being too thick. Add 1/8 cup soy milk to thin out if necessary.
