Fava beans, fresh, 2 cupTahini, .25 cupGround Red Pepper, 2 tsp - eastern African markets have a Hot powder that is FabGarlic, 2 clovesSalt, 2 dash Lemon juice, 3 tbsp
Drain beans and rinse if canned. Place in pot just cover with water, sprinkle with red pepper. Heat till hot. Set aside keep liquid.
In a medium bowl, using a pestle or the back of a spoon, crush the garlic to a paste with a pinch of salt. Whisk in the tahini and lemon juice. Whisk in 1/4 cup of cooking water.
Pour the tahini sauce into a wide serving bowl. Mound the warm fava beans in the center and pour another .25c bean cooking liquid on top.
Makes 6 servings, just shy of 1/2 cup

Okay So I have not tried this specific recipe, but I have been to Egypt and Jordan and I LOVE Ful Medames, and have been making it at home based on what I could remember. Got the rest of it, but how did I not think about Tahini, when I have it!! FacePalm! SO happy to find this one here to make soon! - 12/8/13
