Cranberry Muffins

Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened1/2 cup granulated sugar1/2 cup brown sugar2 eggs1 teaspoon vanilla extract1/2 cup light sour cream1/2 cup milk2 cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking powder1/2 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/4 teaspoon salt1 cup chopped fresh cranberriesTOPPING:1 tablespoon granulated sugar1/16 teaspoon (a dash) of nutmeg1/16 teaspoon (a dash) of cinnamon
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Fold in sour cream. Combine flour, baking powder and soda, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt; stir into creamed mixture until just moistened. Fold in cranberries. Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full. Combine topping and sprinkle over muffins. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes.

Makes 12 medium-sized muffins.
