Sweet Potato and Sausage Soup

Ingredients
2 onions1/2 head cabbage3 cloves garlic1 sweet potato3 links chicken sausage1/2 chipotle pepper1 tbsp lemon juice6 cups water + 3 chicken bullion cubes
Directions
- roughly chop sweet potato, then boil with garlic cloves in 2 cups chicken broth (or 2 cups water + 1 bullion cube)
- when potato is tender, use potato masher to mash potato and garlic into the broth, set aside
- meanwhile, saute onion and cabbage until browned and softened
- slice sausage and add to onions and cabbage, cook until sausage is heated
- add the rest of the ingredients, including reserved potato and broth
- bring to boil, then turn down and simmer for 10min

makes 4 2-cup servings
