Moroccan Chickpea Soup

Ingredients
* Olive Oil, .25 cup (remove) * Onions, raw, 1 large (remove) * Garlic, 8 cloves (remove) * Cinnamon, ground, 1 tsp (remove) * *Cumin seed, 1 tsp (remove) * Pepper, red or cayenne, .14 tsp (remove) * Paprika, 1 tsp (remove) * Canned Tomatoes, 1 can (remove) * Chickpeas (garbanzo beans), 5.5 cup (remove) * Chicken Broth, 32 fl oz (remove) * Granulated Sugar, 1 tsp (remove) * Salt, 1 tsp (remove) * Spinach, fresh, .5 package (10 oz) (remove)
Directions
Saute onion and garlic in olive oil. Add spices and saute for a minute then add tomatoes, chickpeas, broth and sugar. Season with salt and pepper. Add liquid and simmer 45 minutes. Mash up some chickpeas with a potato masher and stir in spinach. Wilt for a few minutes then serve.
