Ingredients
Split red gram (dal)Coriander powderTumericButterCumin seedsClovesRed ChilliesAsafoetida (pinch)GarlicGingerGreen Corriander
Directions
Makes 4 servings
Soak dal for 30 minutes and drain. Boil 4 cups of water and add dal, corriander powder, tumeric and salt to taste.

In a skillet saute butter, cumin seeds, dried red chillies, cloves and asafoetida. Add garlic and ginger and saute till golden brown.

Combine skillet ingredients with dal , mix well. Serv hot garnished with green coriander leaves and steamed rice.
