1 box (12oz.) jumbo shells1 jar of tomato basil pasta sauce1lb. ground beef or sausage2Tbs extra virgin olive oil1 cup finely chopped onion1 clove garlic, minced1tsp salt.25 tsp pepper.125 tsp nutmeg1 egg.25 cup granulated parmesan cheese
Pre-heat 350 degrees. Cook shells according to package directions. Drain, reserving .33 cup of the pasta cooking water. Cook ground beef or sausage in a large skillet until no longer pink. Drain grease. Add oil, onion, garlic, resrved pasta water. Continue cooking 10 minutes stirriing occasionally. Remove from heat. Add seasonings and blend well. Let mixture cool. Pour 1 cup pasta sauce in bottom of 9 x 13 baking dish. Fill shells with meat mixture. Place in dish. Pour remaining sauce over shells. Cover and bake 30 minutes.
