Collard Green Soup

Ingredients
1 bag fresh chopped collards1 T bacon fat1/4 c Hormel bacon bits (50% less fat)1/2 medium onion, chopped14.5 oz Swanson Chicken broth8 c water1 can navy beans
Directions
Saute chopped onions and bacon bits in bacon fat until onions are translucent. Add greens, water and chicken broth, and beans. Bring water to boil, reduce heat, cover and cook until greens are tender. Salt and pepper to taste. A little Crystal or green tabasco is a good addition.
