Best Blueberry Waffles

Ingredients
1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour1/4 c. ground flax seed1 tsp. baking powder1/2 tsp. salt1 egg1 1/4 c. skim milk1/3 c. unsweetened applesauce1 c. frozen blueberries
Directions
Whisk together dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, whisk together remaining ingredients except for blueberries. Add wet ingredients to dry and whisk just until blended; mix in blueberries. Cook in waffle iron following the manufacturer's instructions. Makes 8 four-inch waffles.
