Low Fat Meat Sauce

Ingredients
2 tbsp olive oil3 garlic cloves minced1/2 cup chopped onion1 lb extra lean ground beef (96-4 %)1/2 cup red wine1 tsp salt1 tsp pepper1 tbsp onion powder1 frozen basil cube1 1 lb can of tomato sauce1 can of garlic tomato paste1 cup of beef broth2 bay leaves
Directions
In a large sauce pan heat oil, than add onion and garlic cook untill soft. Now add beef, salt, pepper,and onion powder break into crumbles while cooking. When beef is cooked add wine. Cook until liquid is gone. Now add tomato sauce, tomato paste, cup of beef broth, basil and bay leaves. Stir together, bring to boil than lower to a simmer cover. Stir every 20 minutes. Let cook for an hour and a half. Pour over pasta of choice and ENJOY. Makes 15 1/2 cup servings.
