I have made a similar version of this for years! I don't use whipping cream, and I usually combine all ingredients except for the sour cream in a slow cooker and let simmer all day (it's delicious). For richness & creaminess I stir 1 tsp of regular sour cream into each individual bowl. - 1/19/10

I loved this recipe and so did my family. Instead of green chilies I used a whole green pepper that I sauteed with the onions. I also roasted a whole chicken the night before and used that instead of the just chicken breast. Awesome recipe one I have added to my favorite recipes for continous use - 3/2/09

Wow, this is so good! I didn't have any diced green chiles for some reason, so I added a 7 oz can of Herdez Green Salsa Verde sauce. SO YUMMY! I also didn't use whipping cream and just let everyone add their own reduced fat sour cream. We will make this again and again! It was super easy! - 1/7/09
