Low Sugar Flourless Apple Crumble

Ingredients
8 medium granny smith apples, peeled, cored, & cut into bite size pieces1 tablespoon cinnamon1/2 cup apple cider1 tablespoon packed brown sugar1 cup old fashioned oatmeal2 tablespoons packed brown sugar1/3 cup almond meal flour3 tablespoons butter, melted
Directions
Makes 8 servings
Place apples, cinnamon, apple cider and first brown sugar in a sprayed sauce pan. Saute until apples soften. Put oatmeal into food processor and process about 30 seconds, just until oatmeal is a bit more finely ground. Add almond meal and next brown sugar and pulse to combine. Place butter in freezer, when frozen using large side of metal grater, grate butter into oameal mixture, then pulse a few times to combine. Pour cooked apple mixture into the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch glass casserole dish. Sprinkle crumble mixture over the top. Bake 30 minutes, or until mixture is slightly bubbling and lightly browned. Serve hot--try is with fat free, sugar free whipped topping.
