Mel's Kitchen Meat Pie

Ingredients for the filling:1 pound Ground beef (lean)1 stalk Celery (sliced)4 Carrots (sliced)2 cups Frozen Peas1/2 Onion (diced)2 TBSP's Dried Parsley1/2 tsp Garlic powder1/2 tsp dried Basil1 tsp Pepper1 TBSP Flour1 Can Yellow Sweet Corn3 Cups Mashed Potatoes 1 Egg,1 Can Beef Broth (14oz)Ingredients for Crust:3 cup All Purpose Flour1/2 tsp Baking Powder1/2 tsp Baking Soda1/2 tsp Paprika 1 tsp Salt1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil1 Cup Warm Tap Water
Dough Instructions:
1. Mix all dry ingredients until blended.
2. Add wet ingredients & stir until blended.
3. Kneed dough for 3 minutes & split it in halves.
3. Roll out one of the halves & place it in a greased & floured pie pan & set aside.
4. Roll out second crust & set aside.
Filling Instructions:
1. Brown the Ground Beef & Onions.
2. Add the beef broth, 2 TBSP's of flour & vegetables. Simmer until vegetables are soft.
3. Add everything else & stir until entire mixture is warmed through.
4. Pour Beef mixture into the pie pan that is lined w/ the dough.
5. Place the remaining half of the dough over the mixture & seal the crust edges.
6. Cut a thin opening in the top of the crust & (optional) coat the crust with egg.
Bake @ 325 for 22 minutes.
