Venison and rice hot dish

Ingredients
1 lb Ground Venison (or other ground meat)2 chopped bell peppers ( i used 1 green and 1 red)1 chopped onion1 can of petite diced tomatoes1 cup of salsa1 cup of uncooked long grain white rice2 cups of water
Directions
Chop the peppers and onion as desired, Brown ground venison (or beef) in skillet. Add the chopped veggies and a can of petite diced tomatoes, or fresh chopped tomatoes if desired. Simmer for 5 min, stirring occasionally. Add 1 cup of uncooked white rice, and 2 cups of water, and 1 cup of salsa. Stir together well, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 15 min or until rice is tender. Enjoy by itself or over lettuce, or in a tortilla or taco shell.
