This recipe is awful. I even took into account what other folks said & made it 12 oz can of OJ w/ 24 oz of water to keep it from burning & drying out. It dried out anyway. It was terrible. The flavor was bitter and nasty. I know this recipe is in the "Fix IT and Forget It Cookbook". Yuk. - 1/11/13

If your food drys out in your slow cooker you may need a new one. Typically they are air tight and so the steam and liquid will condense on the lid and baste the food while it cooks. Ive never had dry chicken and I do mine in the crock pot weekly with NO added liquids at all! - 9/22/09

sounds like it needs more liquid before cooking in slow cooker so it won't dry out. - 11/5/08

Isnt the cooking time for this receipe too long?
that will make it dried out, overcooked and burned. - 11/5/08

I have never seen anything burn in my slow cooker before making this... set for 7 hours on low... after a little over 5 hours the tops of the chicken were starting to burn. - 6/16/08

It was ok. I don't know what happened to it but it was overcooked. The kids didn't care for it. Not much of a taste. - 4/9/08

I dont' know if my crock pot cooks too fast or if the timing is too long. Anyway, it was good, but way overcooked. If I make it again I'll make sure I'm home so I can check it peridically to keep from burning. - 4/2/08

I was disappointed in the taste. Very little flavoring. My family hated it. Sorry. - 9/18/07

The orange taste was nice, but I cooked it on low for 8 hours and it was completely dried out - no liquid left to thicken. - 3/19/07

This was very easy and the chicken came out very tender. Made good leftovers too. The chicken wasnt' too tough when reheated. - 3/15/07
