Brown Rice Soup/(Khichdi)

Ingredients
Brown Rice, long grain, 1 cupBeans: Masoor Dal, 1 cupWater, tap, 12 cups (8 fl oz)Canola Oil, 0.5 tbspOnions, raw, 1 cup, choppedCumin seed, 1 tbspRed Ripe Tomatoes, 1 tomato choppedSalt, 1 tbsp (remove)Ginger Root, 5 slices choppedTurmeric, ground, 0.5 tbspCilantro, raw, 2 tbsp choppedRed hot pepper powder 1 tbps
Directions
Mix lentils and rice in a bowl. Wash and rinse thoroughly. Than in Pressure cooker add 12 cups of water than put lentils, rice, salt, tomatoes & turmeric powder. close the cooker till it whistle for 4 times. Let all the pressure come out than open the cooker.

In other fry pan add oil in the pan, when oil is hot put cumin seeds than chopped onions. let onion fry till it is brown color. than add ginger roots and red hot pepper powder.
put all this masala in to the cooker. mix well and serve with plan yogurt.
