Low Fat Baking Powder Biscuits Fannie Farmer-ish

Preheat oven to 450 F
Sift dry ingredients together. Add butter and work in. Add milk and stir in to make a dough. If dough is too dry, add a little more milk.
Turn out on floured board, knead until smooth. Roll out to 3/4" thickness. Cut with knife or biscuit cutter to make 12 biscuits. Place on ungreased cookie sheet ~ close together for soft-sided biscuits, one inch apart for crusty ones.
Bake 12-15 minutes
