Chocolate Cream Pie

Ingredients
2 cups milk, divided2/3 cups sugar1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa3 tbls Cornstarch1/8 tsp salt1 large egg2 oz semisweet chocolate1 tsp vanilla
Directions
Combine ½ cup milk, 2/3 cup sugar, cocoa, cornstarch, salt and egg in large bowl stirring with a whisk. Heat 11/2 cups of milk over med. High heat in heavy saucepan to 180 degrees or until tiny bubbles form around the edge; do not boil. Remove from heat. Gradually add hot milk to sugar mixture, stirring constantly with whisk. Return milk mixture to pan. Add chopped chocolate, cook over med. Heat until thick and bubbly, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low. Cook two minutes stirring constantly. Remove heat and stir in vanilla. Pour in to pie crust. Cover the surface with plastic wrap and chill for 3 hours.
