Chocolate Pudding, Pearl Perkins 1937

Ingredients
1/4 cup cocoa, a little less1 - 1/2 (1.5) cups sugar1/4 cup corn starch1/4 tsp salt2 cups milk (nutritional value is 2% milk)3 eggs2 tsp vanilla -- add at the end2 cups marshmallows - optional
Directions
Combine eggs and milk in mixing bowl. Add dry ingredients and stir thoroughly with mixer (don't beat). Move into at least a 2-qt stovetop pan.
Cook over medium high heat, stirring constantly, until thick. Add vanilla. May stir in marshmallows.
Serve warm.
Should provide 8 dessert bowls.
Some enjoy with saltine crackers: either 'scoop' the pudding onto the cracker, or spread the pudding atop the cracker.

Comment: If you begin the entire process in the stovetop pan, be careful to not cook the egg before the eggs are thoroughly combined with the dry ingredients!
