Ingredients
8 oz Jimmy Dean sausage regular, 16 oz 2 tbsp Bacon fat, rendered 1 tsp Pepper, red or cayenne1-1/2 cups 2% Milk, 1-1/2 cups tap water1/3c All-Purpose Flour1/2 tbsp Garlic powder1/2 tbsp Onion powder,1/2 tbsp Pepper, black, 2 tsp Salt
Directions
In a separate bowl, combine flour,and spices together. Brown Sausage in Skillet ( I personally use my electric), when brown pull to one side and add the bacon fat to the other side,add the flour mixture to the fat to make a rue (kind of dry one). bring sausage and rue together and mix well. Add milk, water and bring to a boil, simmer until desired thickness is achieved. Serve over biscuits. makes 14 -1/3 cup servings; enough for 1 split Pillsbury IQF Biscuit.

    The recipe was very good. I omitted the cayenne pepper. Do you smoke? No offense, but it was super salty. I'm gonna make this again, but use about half the salt you called for. Pepper is too much for me, too. - 5/13/21
