Polish Sausage & White Bean Soup

1 cup rough chopped sweet red bell pepper1 cup rough chopped onion2 Tbsp. canola oil ~3 1/2 cups small white beans6 cups broth ~1 cup frozen peas1/2 pkg. Hillshire Kielbasa Lite Sausage chopped3 Tbsp flour
Makes 6 servings, 2 cups each
Chop onion and red bell peppers, saute over medium high heat in 2 Tbsp. canola oil.
While cooking vegetable mixture, combine beans and broth in soup pot, and heat.
When vegetables are limp and browned (with a little black here and there) add to soup and continue heating. After transferring vegetables to soup, deglaze saute pan with some soup liquid.
When soup is almost to boil add flour combining with a bit of water to make a slurry and add to soup. As soup thickens slightly, add frozen peas and chopped sausage. continue heating until peas and sausage are heated through.
Serve.
