Baked Macaroni & Cheese

2 Cups (dry) Whole Wheat Macaroni Elbows8 Oz. Sharp Cheddar Cheese (or any cheese you prefer)1/2 Cup 2% milkSalt and Pepper to Taste
Serving Size: Makes 8 - 1/2 cup servings or 4 - 1 cup servings
*If using as a main dish, use the 1 cup serving size.
Directions:
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2) Boil water, add salt and oil. Cook pasta by directions on the box. Cook to al dente -- slightly firm in the center. Drain and set aside.
3) Shred cheese into a bowl using a grater.
4) Layer 1/3 of pasta into the bottom of a casserole dish (baking dish). Sprinkle with salt and cracked pepper. Layer with 1/3 of the cheese. Repeat two times for a total of three layers ending with cheese on the top.
5) Pour the milk over the top of the entire casserole.
6) Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees or microwave for 20 minutes at power level 7.
