Crock pot Ham & Split Pea Soup

Ingredients
1 pkg (16 oz) dried split peas, rinsed20 oz diced ham (about 2 1/2 c)2 garlic cloves, crushed1 tbsp dried onion2 tsp dried parsley2 tsp seasoned salt1/2 tsp black pepper6 c. water2 tbsp ham bouillon (optional)
Directions
Layer ingredients in crock pot in order listed.

Add water (do not stir).

Cook on low for 8-10 hours or longer. Stir, mashing peas to thicken soup if desired. Makes 8 large bowls of soup.
