2 1/4 tsp. yeast3 c. whole wheat flour2 tsp salt1 Tbs. unsalted butter1/4 c. honey1/2 c. 2% milk1/2 c. water1 large egg2 Tbs. wheat bran2 Tbs. wheat germ1/4 c. old fashioned oats2 Tbs. flax seed2 Tbs. roasted unsalted sunflower seeds
Add all ingredients to bread maker in order specified by bread machine manual and start on "basic" setting for 1.5 lb loaf. Works best with crust setting selected to "dark". Substitutions such as margarine for the butter and soy, rice, skim, or whole milk can be made.
