Ingredients
2 c. chopped raw carrots1 c. cubed raw turnips1/4 c. baked yam1 tbsp salt2 tbsp butter
Directions
Chop the carrots and turnips and place them in a pot with ample water and the salt. Boil until soft.
Add butter and mash coarsely.

Makes sides for six.

    I like turnips and carrots, so this was something a bit different to try. I would probably add just a little seasoning next time, other than salt and pepper that I used. - 6/17/08
