Ingredients
Irish Oatmeal (McCann's), 1 cup Blueberries, fresh, 1 cup washed/rinsed*Splenda, 6 tsp or 6 single packagesWater, , 4 cup heated to steamingVanilla flavoring, 1 T if desired
Directions
place 4 cups of boiling water in slow cooker ( or heat water to steaming on high). While water is heating wash blueberries and drain, set aside. when water is hot enough place Spenda in water to dissolve, then place blueberries and vanilla (if desired) in water. Stir oats into mixture and simmer for 20 min on low or turn of slow cooker and allow liquids to absorp overnight. I freeze my extra servings and take one out each time I need it to thaw in the refrigerator overnight. I then warm it for one minute in the microwave. Of course you can serve it immediately. I do not need to use milk to eat but it is great with yogurt stirred in and is creamy and high in fiber.
