Black Bean Burgers

15oz can black beans (whole)1/2 green pepper chopped1/4 onion chopped3 cloves of garlic pressed1 egg3/4 c. - 1c. bread crumbs1 tbsp cumin1 tbsp chili powder1/2 tsp. salt1tbsp hot sauce (optional)
Makes 4 hearty patties!
Heat oven to 375
Coarsely mash beans or chop in food processor
Add minced onion, bell pepper, and pressed garlic
Mix egg in separate bowl with cumin, chili powder, salt and hot sauce.
Mix everything together, adding in bread crumbs.
Heat skillet with non-stick spray
Divide mixture into 4 formed patties and cook s on each side for a couple minutes.
Transfer patties to nonstick baking pan and bake for 10minutes, flip over and bake for another 10minutes.
Add avocado or cheese on top, eat with or without bun!
