Turkey Sausage, Shrimp and Brown Rice Jambalaya

Ingredients
2tbs Olive Oil1 large Onion2 cloves Garlic 2 stalks of celery1 green bell pepper1 red bell pepper5 links (1pkg) jenni-o turkey store lean italian turkey sausage1 tbs chili powder2tsp dried thyme.5 tsp cayenne pepper (to taste)1 15 oz can of diced tomatoes1 1/2 cups of uncooked brown rice4 cups low sodium chicken broth2 cups water12oz large raw peeled deveined shrimp
Directions
heat large pot to med high and add oil, dice and cook onion, garlic, celery, and peppers until onion is translucent (5 mins). add sausage, chili powder, cayenne and thyme and mix well. then add tomatoes, broth, water and rice and stir. heat to a simmer then turn to med low and cook about 45 mins until most of the liquid is absorbed. just before serving, add shrimp and cook until shrimp are pink, about 3 mins for fresh and 6 for frozen.
