Beef Barley & Mushroom Soup

1 Tbls. flour1/2 tsp. salt1/8 tsp. pepper1/4 tsp. garlic powder3/4 lb. round steak, cut into bitesized pieces1 tbls. canola oil8 oz. mushrooms, washed and sliced2 cups sliced carrots1 large onion, chopped5 c. beef broth1/2 tsp. garlic powder1/3 tsp. majoram3/4 cup pearled barley
Place flour, salt, pepper and garlic powder into a resealable bag. Shake. Add beef. Reseal and shake to coat evenly. Heat oil in medium skillet. Add contents of bag and cook until meat is browned. Transfer meat to crockpot. Return skillet to stove and add a bit of water to deglaze pan. Add drippings to crock pot. Add remaining ingredients. Stir to combine. Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours or until meat is tender and vegies are done.
