Pretty good, I used blackstrap molasses for the liquid sugar and 1/2 c of applesauce for the prune juice. I also added a dash of cinnamon. No oatmeal raisin anything is complete without cinnamon. :) - 10/11/08

I think it is so funny when the comments come in. No one ever cooks the recipe as is. Always makes adjustments. I do the same, mostly because I don't have the proper ingredients. - 1/19/10

I followed the comments of other users - added applesauce, omitted sugar, added one egg- and the cookies turned out great. My kids loved them as well! - 2/19/08

This recipe is good, with alterations; it's too pared back for the sake of health as written. I added an egg (I was afraid the consistency would be like a brick without it) and a pinch of salt. I also omitted the granulated sugar; the dough is sweet enough without it. - 1/5/08

Great "diet" cookie! Tho I changed a few things..instead of prune puree, I used spiced apple butter. I used Splenda instead of sugar. I also added cinnamon and ground cloves. I will next time use dates instead of raisins.Changed quick oats to toasted, old fashioned oats. Great texture! - 11/4/09

i tried these with the suggested adjustments (omitted sugar, added egg, used honey and applesauce) and found them to be very bland...could be that i used unsweetened applesauce, but still. added 1/2 brown sugar and another egg and cooked a few minutes longer... THESE were more like cookies to me - 3/25/09

I halved the recipe and made 15 VERY small cookies, but they taste great! I used applesauce instead of prune puree, and I didn't use any nuts. - 10/27/07
