Ingredients
Directions
one bunch swiss chard, washed and sliced into strips1/4 cup golden raisins2-3 cloves fresh garlic, minced1/3 cup slivered almondscanola oil for sauteeingfresh pepper for seasoning
heat the oil in a wok or large skillet over medium low heat
add the minced garlic and stir until soft
add the raisins and almonds, stirring
add the chard
Stir the chard and other ingredients. Initially, it will seem like there's a LOT of chard, but it wilts with heating. Continue stirring as the chard softens ( a few minutes) then turn the heat to low and continue stirring occasionally until the chard is soft. Can cover the skillet or wok for the last 2-3 minutes. The dish is done when the chard is wilted and darker green (think of cooked spinach). Season with pepper and serve.
