Sugar Roasted Almonds ( Gebrannte Mandeln)

Ingredients
* Almonds, 5 cup, whole Raw * Brown Sugar, 3 cup, unpacked * Cinnamon, ground, 3 tbsp * Water, tap, 0.5 cup
Directions
Turn pan on high, add water, sugar , cinnamon and almonds to pan, sugar will melt it , stir until sugar crystallizes again.

Do not take the almonds out yet , they are NOT done , continue to stir until the sugar will again become liquid.

Take the almonds out of the pan once you have a nice dark coating on the almonds with still a little bit of crystallized sugar shoing on the almonds.

Pour onto parchment paper and let the almonds cool and the coating harden.

Enjoy in moderation since this is high in calories, but so worth as a nice treat.
