Low fat Mexican Cornbread

Ingredients
2 cups Cornmeal4 tsp baking powder1/2 can or 1 cup shoepeg corn or cream style1 to 1/2 cup FF or 2% milk (ff skim will have lower Cal. & Fat values1 lg whole egg1 tsp salt (kosher)1/4 cup Jalapenos or chiles (chopped)1/4 cup chopped green or red raw onion
Directions
Mix dry ingredients first, then add wet mix until wet. If baked place in greased 8' baking pan bake about 20 min.This I would cut into 10 pieces. I like to pan fry, in dry iron skillet( or use butter no stick spray) makes 10 to 15 small cakes.
