peel 6 small potatoes cut in 1/8 thick slices, (cut in one direction) 1/4 cup bacon drippings1/4 cup self rising corn meal2- 2%cups milk
wash and dry with a paper towel, getting all water off put into iron skillet layering with uncooked bacon bake at 325 degrees until the potatoes is tender. When potatoes is about half done make the corn meal gravy.
heat bacon drippings in iron skillet. add corn meal, over very low heat brown the corn meal. add 2 cups of milk slowly and cook until thick, then slowly cook 5 minutes.
serve hot over oven fried potatoes
